Welcome to Export News for June, coming to you on the eve of the biggest agribusiness showcase in the southern hemisphere - the 2018 New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays.

What's new What's new
The New Zealand Agricultural Fieldays® at Mystery Creek, Hamilton is the biggest showcase of agricultural technology in the Southern Hemisphere and is a demonstration of how New Zealand is leading change for farmers globally.   The NZTE team will be at Fieldays 13-15 June to connect international business visitors with some of New Zealand’s top agritech innovation.

Dairy herd improvement company CRV Ambreed's latest team of proven sires includes four new "environmentally friendly" bulls which pass lower nitrate levels through their urine onto soils. Daughters from these bulls are expected to produce less nitrogen, potentially helping farmers reduce their environmental footprint.
Bulls that tread lightly

Reducing farming's environmental impact will be a hot topic at Fieldays, and four dairy sires are leading the charge towards lower nitrogen output. Herd improvement company CRV Ambreed's LowN Sires bulls have a genetic advantage that means less nitrate passed through urine into soils – part of taking farmers on a "journey to greener cows".

The report was commissioned to assess consumer responses to protein and highlight the potential impacts to the New Zealand agricultural industry.
