New Zealand's commitment to preserving Kiwi cultural heritage while establishing themselves as global leaders in innovation is impressive. Taking part in the first ever Māori Tech Hackathon, Hack Tairāwhiti, was one of the most powerful experiences of my professional career. I'm honestly still trying to put the weekend into words, so it is my hope that this video recap of #HackTairāwhiti gives you a taste of the event, #Māori tradition, of Gisborne, and of the #NewZealand entrepreneurial spirit. Heartfelt gratitude to the organizations, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Datacom, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and Te Tira Toi Whakangao, that made it possible; and to the people whom made it unforgettable: Teresa Pollard, Kerry Topp, Barry Soutar, Richard Kay, Ky Hacker, Timothy Allan, Jeremy Wilson, Saya Wahrlich, Grant Straker, Dr Michelle Dickinson (MNZM), Linda Jenkinson, Meng Foon, Roger Shakes, James Sweetbaum, Thivy Ruthra, Rowland Parr, Johnathon Meichtry, Adam Barnes, Bryan Nimo, Samantha Le, Maru Nihoniho (MNZM), Candace Kinser Reed, Nabeel Ahmed. Tag the whānau &share the experience with those you know will enjoy. Thank you all so very much <3
