Welcome to NZTE's Export News for November. 

In this edition, we're celebrating the achievements of this year's New Zealand International Business Awards winners, revealed at last week's gala dinner in Auckland. Read on below to discover these extraordinary businesses – then check out our highlights reel for all the action and excitement as it happened on the night.

There's also something to celebrate for exporters targeting markets covered by the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) – it'll take effect on 30 December, unlocking better trade access for our businesses in eleven countries, including four that now have a trade agreement in place with New Zealand for the first time. The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) will come into force on the 30th December. While the trade deal covers 11 countries, it also represents New Zealand’s first trade deal with four key markets – Japan, Canada, Mexico and Peru. For each, exporters will have reduced tariffs from day one of the Agreement coming into action, and a second round of tariff cuts for Mexico and Canada in 2019.
CPTPP in force from 30 December – what it means

The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) will come into force on 30 December – and among the 11 countries covered are four involving New Zealand's first trade deal: Japan, Canada, Mexico and Peru.
