Our Australia team has had an exciting couple of days at Digital Health Festival 2024. Day 1 was a whirlwind of innovation and collaboration at the New Zealand stand. Everything kicked off on Monday with a networking dinner, setting the perfect tone and fostering connections that will shape the future of digital health. The New Zealand healthtech pavilion showcased cutting-edge and innovative healthtech solutions from Spritely, ARANZ Medical, oDocs Eye Care, Flintfox - Intelligent Pricing Platform, CBS - Health Costing Experts, Wofo Medstaff, Clearhead, Florence Digital, Core Schedule, Odin Health, Orion Health, and STREAMLINERS. Highlights included the panel session on "How NZ HealthTech disruptors are connecting care across the globe" and the NZ Digital Healthcare Dinner the night prior, with key industry contacts from private and public health sectors. We also shared our New Zealand manaaki with Australia by hosting networking drinks and a kapa haka performance, sponsored by Orion Health, on the stand showcasing both Kiwi culture and F&B. Day 2 kicked off on a great note with our NZ Healthtech Breakfast, sponsored by Orion Health. We were joined by Orion Health’s VP of Digital Care Records, @Chris Lucas, where he spoke on "Connecting Care across the Globe" and how to solve healthcare interoperability challenges on a global scale. From workshops to keynotes, the energy was palpable at the NZ stand. As the festival wrapped up, we are all excited to see how these innovative solutions will shape the healthcare industry! #DHF24 #NZMadeWithCare See Tomorrow First Bella Katz Hamish Campbell Robert M. Consul-General Designate Dubai and the Northern Emirates and Trade Commissioner to UAE, Qatar, Levant & Africa
I am thrilled to see negotiations have begun for a Close Economic Partnership Agreement between New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates. The launch of negotiations is a significant step towards growing the trading and economic relationship between our two countries. The UAE is an important export destination for New Zealand, with exports close to a NZ$1 billion last year. It’s been fantastic to host the Trade Minister, Hon Todd McClay, here in Dubai, who together with the UAE Trade Minister, Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, announced the launch of negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Minister McClay also met with New Zealand businesses operating in the UAE and discussed key opportunities. New Zealand Trade and Enterprise is proud to work with our exporters who are playing a crucial role in growing New Zealand’s economy, and we’re doing all we can to help companies contribute towards the Government’s ambitious goal of doubling the value of exports within 10 years. A CEPA with the UAE would also complement New Zealand’s ongoing negotiations towards a free trade agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). #UAE #NewZealand #NZTE #CEPA #FTA #Business #Trade
